Neck twist therapy

The older generation still remembers the incendiary dance with twisting movements of the whole body or its individual parts. On its basis, a method of treatment with movement is built – twist therapy or spiral gymnastics. As a result of application, the patient’s vital activity increases, health is maintained, energy metabolism is stimulated and metabolic processes are improved.

With the help of twist therapy, the fascia is relaxed, joints are released, normal blood circulation and energy flow are restored. This simple and effective technique can be used independently for pain in the head or abdomen, discomfort in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, ribs.

Neck diagnostics

1. At a slow pace, bend and extend the cervical spine very smoothly. After taking each position, pause for a few seconds. Determine in which position you are most comfortable, which position reduces or completely stops pain. Remember this position and return to the starting position.

2. Take your time, perform neck bends to the right side, then to the left. Determine your comfort position, memorize it, and return to neutral.

3. Perform head turns to the right, left. Remember the comfortable position and return to the starting position.

Recall the three most comfortable and painless positions and begin treatment.

At a slow pace, gradually bring your neck into a comfortable flexion or extension position. From this position, take a painless bend to the side. Then turn your head to the side, twisting. Hold this position for 30 seconds. Now return to a neutral position, sequentially pulling the neck out of a twist or twist, bend and flexion or extension. Relax your neck completely by taking 4 deep breaths in and out.

Usually, when done correctly, pain and discomfort will decrease by 30-40%.
